What to Bring
Pathology Request Form given to you by your doctor (We accept all referrals)
To complete COVID-19 testing, you are required to have a valid pathology request form from a General Practitioner (GP), or an approved nurse practitioner.
Medicare card
A list of current medication and doses (if applicable)
Preparing for your test
It's important to drink plenty of water before your test – unless your GP has given you a reason not to. This will make it easier to perform your blood test.
In some cases, you may be required to fast before your test. Fasting is necessary for some tests because some foods and drinks can affect your results.
If your Dr asks you to fast for a test it means they want to know about your results on an empty stomach.
This means you are not allowed to eat or drink anything except for water for 8-12 hours before your test.
If your test, your Dr, or your form says N.B.M or Nil By Mouth, then your fasting instructions will be different. There may be restrictions on your food, water, medication, brushing teeth, smoking and more. Please consult your doctor if you are unsure.
